The Paparoa Track is a 55km walk through the Paparoa Range on the West Coast, opened in 2019 as New Zealand's newest Great Walk. The track passes through alpine tops, limestone karst landscapes, and lush podocarp forest. It's also the first Great Walk designed for both trampers and mountain bikers. Hut bookings open once a year and cancellations come up throughout the season.
